My Process

I work from a light-filled space at home, often pausing to watch the weather seep across the sky, fields and forest.  It's a lovely calm space surrounded by light and birdsong.

It’s such fun playing with colour.  

The endless combinations of pigments gives such variety and scope and there’s plenty of room for experimenting along the way.

Couldn’t manage without the trusty sketch book & note book.

Taking the time to play and plan really helps and it’s great for taking out and about to capture a new idea.

It’s always exciting getting ready to paint but also a little daunting.  

I love that watercolours have a life of their own and lead me to unexpected places.

So many choices and subtle differences it’s difficult to choose.

I am a great lover of washi tape, all those lovely patterns and colours!

I love using it to gently secure my paintings into mounts or aperture cards - It’s really too pretty to be hidden.
